In this space and in this place

 of Northern Lights

 of peace and simple times

   what's good and what is right

no better place

to live and die

then in this forest

where I reside.

  All I know is what I've learned

    and where I've been

Who I've touched and the things I've seen

  Love has come and love has gone

Short days and the nights,

   the nights are long

Here in the land of my destiny.

I'd be lost you see

comes back to me, sweeping me off my feet,

There is a hunger in my soul

A hunger to be whole

A tender touch, warm arms to hold

Another hand to aid me when

  this road of life is a burden to my soul

As I walk alone

 Looking to be whole.

So many have come and gone.

They stay awhile

But not for long, when,

 stars shining bright

  crisp cool

  clear and white

 

Snowfalling, passed my kitchen

window , bright.

  I absorb the sight.

A place of comfort

Cozy and warm

Full of Love

  Understanding

   Encouragement

Safe from harm.

Where commitment resides.
